You know within the first three seconds whether an ad is going to stop the scroll or get skipped. You've worked from raw footage and turned it into high-converting creating, and you’re ready to edit for brands that actually track performance.
This is a role for someone who wants their edits measured by real results, not just by aesthetics.
WHO THEY ARE
This is a direct-to-consumer oral appliance care brand that's grown by treating creative as a numbers game, not a guessing game. Every ad gets tested, measured, and iterated on, and the team has built a track record of top performing creative that converts because of it.
The in-house content team has grown fast: a content lead, an acquisition lead, a creative strategist, media buyers, and three video editors, all working off the same brief pipeline.
What makes this team different:
-
Fast feedback: clear briefs, direct notes, quick turnarounds.
-
Performance over polish: an edit that wins is the one that converts, not the one that simply looks best.
-
Small, senior team: you're working alongside the people making the calls, not through layers of account management.
-
Data-led iteration: hooks, formats, and personas all get tested and refined based on data shared by the media buying team.
This is a full-time contractor position.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU
-
Join a proven creative engine: You're not building a process from scratch. You're stepping into a team that's already found what works and needs more resource to scale it.
-
Get real performance feedback: Your edits get tested, measured and iterated on. You'll know exactly why a hook worked or didn't.
-
Respond to data: You'll collaborate closely with the creative strategist and media buyers on hook variants and persona-based messaging.
-
Quarterly performance bonuses: Reviewed every quarter based on how your ad creatives actually perform.
-
Full remote flexibility: Work from anywhere in a compatible time zone, with a team that already runs with employees around the world.
WHAT YOU’RE GETTING INTO
- Turn raw brand shoot, UGC and creator-sourced footage into direct response ad edits.
- Build problem-solution, story-led ads following hook, problem, solution, proof, CTA structures.
- Cut multiple hook variants and persona-based messaging angles for the same core concept.
- Iterate edits based on live ad performance data and internal learnings, not one-off delivery.
- Work across Meta ad formats (9:16, 4:5) alongside longer-form YouTube creative.
- Collaborate daily with three existing editors and the content team as part of one fast-moving content engine
- Keep pace with a high-volume weekly output, this is not a role for one polished edit a week
WHO YOU ARE
- You have a portfolio weighted heavily toward direct response video ads, ideally for an ecommerce or DTC brand
- You've edited problem-solution, story-led ads before, and understand the hook, problem, solution, proof, CTA structure.
- You're comfortable working from raw creator and UGC footage, not just polished shoot footage
- You think in fast turnaround and iteration, not one-off projects with long timelines
- You're organised enough to juggle multiple concepts and hook variants moving through review at once
- You take feedback well and turn edits around quickly across multiple rounds
Bonus points if you have:
- Worked in health, wellness, or dental/beauty-adjacent categories
- A genuine interest in creative strategy and performance marketing, you want to know why a hook works, not just cut to a brief
- Familiarity with AI-generation tools like Higgsfield (Seedance, Kling) and stock libraries like Artlist
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
-
30 days: You're fully onboarded to the brand's formats, tone and brief pipeline. You're delivering your first full concepts with hook variants, working smoothly inside the team's weekly feedback loop.
-
60 days: You're hitting full weekly output independently, and starting to flag your own suggestions on which hooks or angles are worth testing based on early performance signals.
-
90 days: You're a trusted, low-oversight part of the editing team, proactively pitching new formats and hook ideas based on performance trends, and helping the team push past its current output ceiling.
