We’re partnering with a fast-scaling ecommerce company behind multiple DTC brands in the home, kitchen, and lifestyle space. We’re looking for a true Finance Manager - someone who doesn’t just “do the tasks,” but owns the finance function end-to-end, builds systems, anticipates issues before they happen, and brings structure and clarity into a fast-moving environment.

WHAT YOU’RE GETTING YOURSELF INTO

This isn’t a task-executor role. This is a execution, management and systems role. You must be able to execute, while prioritizing, asking the right questions, and propose solutions - not wait for someone to tell you what to do.

Expect to:

1. Manage Liquidity & Cash Flow Proactively

• Monitor liquidity daily and anticipate bottlenecks before they occur
• Identify issues early (e.g., processor holds, bank limits, supplier timing)
• Bring solutions to leadership (e.g., payment timing shifts, cash flow adjustments)

2. Own Reporting & Visibility

• Build and maintain accurate cash-flow forecasts
• Deliver timely month-end closes and reliable P&Ls
• Ensure the accounting ledger is correctly mapped, categorised, and up to date
• Ensure leadership always has clean financial data to make decisions

3. Build Systems, Not Spreadsheets

• Build scalable workflows and replace ad-hoc processes with clear, repeatable routines.
• Implement organization, structure, and automation wherever possible
• Stabilise the finance function, eliminate recurring fire fighting, and build predictable routines.

4. Prioritize & Communicate Like a Manager

• Set priorities, communicate boundaries clearly, and maintain control of the finance rhythm.
• Communicate proactively with founder, operations, and supply chain
• Set timelines, clarify expectations, and follow through with accountability

5. Manage Daily Operations

• Oversee payment processors, terms, payouts, and risk
• Run timely transfers and payments
• Maintain compliance (sales tax, income tax thresholds, etc.)
• Keep books exit-ready at all times

WHO YOU ARE

• 2–3+ years in finance at a high-growth DTC brand
• Strong understanding of ecommerce finance (inventory accounting, reconciliations, cash flow)
• A systems thinker - you organize chaos, you don’t get consumed by it
• Highly proactive: you anticipate issues, don’t wait for instructions
• Exceptional prioritizer: you ask “Which comes first?” instead of trying to do everything at once
• Strong communicator who asks questions, pushes back when appropriate, and drives clarity
• Advanced Google Sheets/Excel; comfortable with modern tools (Finaloop, QuickBooks, ERPs)
• Fast learner, fast mover - you don’t freeze under pressure

Bonus if you’ve

• Built finance infrastructure or automated reporting systems
• Managed international suppliers, taxes, invoicing
• Supported due diligence or exit prep
• Worked with ERP systems like Fulfill.io or NetSuite
