We’re looking for a Direct Response Copywriter who can blend storytelling, psychology, and performance to create ads that stop the scroll and move the needle.


You’ll partner closely with Creative Strategists to turn ideas, research, and creative direction into polished scripts, angles, hooks, and ad copy across multiple beauty, skincare, perfume, health and wellness brands that exist to make people feel confident, inspired, and more themselves.

This is a full-time contractor role.

WHAT YOU’RE GETTING INTO

This role sits at the heart of the creative engine. You’ll take insights, strategy, and emotion, and turn them into scripts that actually move people.

You will:

  • Turn creative direction into compelling scripts for UGC, testimonials, POVs, concept ads, and short-form videos.
  • Craft strong hooks, angles, and iterations that increase testing velocity and unlock new creative directions.
  • Pull insights from customer research, reviews, competitors, and ad libraries to inspire fresh concepts.
  • Work closely with Creative Strategists to turn ideas into polished, production-ready scripts.
  • Structure scripts so creators, editors, and designers can execute them seamlessly.
  • Keep the script database organised and updated so the team knows what’s been tested and why.
  • Refine your work quickly using feedback, early performance signals, and results from live ads.


WHO YOU ARE

Experienced: 2+ years in direct response copywriting, ideally within DTC.

Ad-format fluent: strong grasp of short-form video structure and how to hold attention.

Versatile writer: comfortable creating UGC scripts, Meta/TikTok ads, VSL-style content, captions, and angles.

Research-driven: you dig deep into reviews, communities, competitors, and data to uncover insights worth writing about.

Emotion-attuned: you understand what makes consumers feel, trust, and buy in beauty, skincare, perfume, health & wellness spaces.

Process-oriented: you work confidently inside Notion, ClickUp, and templates that make output faster and stronger.

Agile: you iterate fast, handle feedback well, and thrive in a high-velocity creative environment.


WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

30 days

  • You’ve absorbed SOPs, templates, and brand tone.
  • You’re producing scripts consistently and on deadline.

60 days

  • Your scripts need minimal revision and flow smoothly into production.
  • You’re supporting Strategists with research and showing stronger hook + angle development.

90 days

  • Your concepts are being tested at volume and you’ve contributed winning ads.
  • You’re independently generating angles and maintaining consistent, high-quality output.
