We're looking for a dedicated Finance Operations Manager to own the daily, weekly, and quarterly metrics that drive every decision. This isn't a CFO role focused on fundraising, neither a bookkeeper position. This is for the specialized financial architect who can integrate systems, optimize multi-factory cost structures, and own the integrity of cash and unit economics.
YOUR MISSION
Your sole mission is to establish and operate the financial controls and analysis required to turn the business into a "financial machine." You will own the daily execution of operational finance, guaranteeing real-time visibility and control over unit economics, cash flow, inventory, and cost structures across the entire organization. You are the internal consultant and the execution lead for financial integrity.
WHO THEY ARE
This is an aggressive, high-growth DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) brand operating in the Wellness and Musical Instrument Industry. The company's core product is a tool for stress relief, mindfulness, meditation, and creative expression. The brand emphasizes healing resonance, ease of use (no musical experience needed), and creating moments of calmness and connection for families and individuals.
This is a full‑time, remote contractor role supporting a Team on the CET timezone.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU
-
Ownership: Take full, daily ownership of the most critical levers of the business: unit economics, cash conversion, and liquidity monitoring.
-
Architect of Profit: Directly influence and optimize margins by running deep cost analyses across three distinct manufacturing partners.
-
Build the Machine: You won't inherit broken processes; you'll build and implement the integrated systems and reporting that will enable scale and operational efficiency.
-
High-Leverage Visibility: Work directly with leadership, including the founder, on core financial risks (liquidity) and legal structure (tax/legal).
-
Remote & Results-Focused: Join a performance-driven team that values output and accountability, offering the flexibility of a remote contractor role.
WHAT YOU’RE GETTING INTO
This role is about daily ownership and weekly execution of critical financial mechanisms:
-
Master Unit Economics: Own the daily monitoring and optimization of unit economics to ensure immediate, scalable profitability per transaction.
-
Accelerate Cash Flow: Own and manage the Cash Conversion Cycle (CCC), actively seeking levers to minimize time between payment and delivery.
-
Ensure Inventory Integrity: Reconcile inventory daily with the Operations lead, guaranteeing accurate stock valuation and financial reporting.
-
Optimize Multi-Factory Costs: Run deep cost analyses focused on performance, efficiency, and variance across 3 distinct manufacturing factories.
-
Control Cost Baselines: Compare cost baselines quarterly to drive strategic negotiations and maintain high gross margins.
-
Integrate Payment Systems: Lead financial integration with all new checkout flows and 3rd party payment processors (e.g., Checkout Champ, PayPal), ensuring clean data capture.
-
Support Legal Structure: Collaborate with the Legal lead on the financial, operational, and reporting implications of tax and legal structures.
-
Mitigate Financial Risk: Own liquidity monitoring, proactively forecasting and managing cash reserves, as this represents our biggest financial risk.
WHO YOU ARE
- At least 3+ years in a high-leverage Finance Operations, FP&A, or Commercial Finance role at an e-commerce or DTC brand scaling past the 7-figure mark.
- You deeply understand the levers of LTV, CAC, AOV, and COGS, and you have a proven ability to optimize them daily.
- You are fluent in the mechanics of the Cash Conversion Cycle and have successfully implemented processes to shrink it.
- Experience running complex cost analyses, especially involving multiple international vendors or factories, and negotiating cost baselines.
- You have hands-on experience integrating financial data from various e-commerce payment gateways and processors (e.g., Checkout Champ, Shopify, PayPal).
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE
- Experience with complex multi-entity or cross-border tax structures.
- Expertise in NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise, or equivalent ERP implementation/integration.
- A background in managing finance for physical goods/inventory-heavy businesses.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
-
30 Days: You have fully audited the current cash conversion cycle, established the daily unit economics dashboard, and begun the first comprehensive cost analysis across all three factory partners.
-
60 Days: You have streamlined the daily inventory reconciliation process, successfully integrated financial data from a new checkout flow (e.g., Checkout Champ), and presented the Q1 cost baseline comparison findings.
-
90 Days: The cash conversion cycle has measurably improved, you have established a forward-looking weekly liquidity monitoring report, and the finance team is running with the efficiency of a "financial machine."
