At this stage of growth, finance isn't just about keeping the books clean. It's about having the numbers ready when decisions need to be made, knowing what you can spend, what a customer is worth, and where the business actually stands.

This role owns the full finance function, from forecasting and reporting to compliance and bookkeeper oversight, with direct input into how the business scales.

WHO THEY ARE

They are a fast-growing DTC men’s hygiene brand focused on natural personal care products. What started as a garage brand just two years ago has quickly evolved into one of the fastest-growing brands in the category.

The team is founder-led, highly performance-driven, and built around rapid iteration, strong creative, and direct customer feedback loops. Their goal is ambitious: scale aggressively, compete with major category leaders, and become one of the defining brands in the space.

If you're someone who wants real ownership, direct access to leadership, and the chance to work on a brand with genuine momentum, you'll fit right in.

This is a fully remote, full-time role.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

  • Full ownership of the finance function with no one above you telling you how to run it
  • Direct line to the founders, your work directly informs how the business spends and grows
  • Room to grow as the business scales, more revenue means more complexity and more responsibility
  • Opportunity to play a key role in a potential restructure to a US entity
  • Fully remote, work from wherever you do your best thinking

WHAT YOU’RE GETTING INTO

  • Own the entire finance function and keep everything clean, current, and decision-ready
  • Build cash flow forecasts and financial models that tell the founders how much they can spend on ads and how much they can pay to acquire a customer
  • Produce regular reports on key metrics including CAC, LTV, subscription performance, and contribution margin
  • Oversee the bookkeeper and make sure everything in QuickBooks/Xero is accurate and up to date
  • Ensure the business stays compliant across Australian tax obligations and support a potential transition to a US entity structure
  • Put systems in place so financial data is always accessible and audit-ready, no scrambling when it matters

WHO YOU ARE

  • You have hands-on finance experience within a DTC or eCommerce business and understand how subscription-based revenue models work
  • You're fluent in the metrics that drive DTC businesses: CAC, LTV, AOV, ROAS, cash flow, and contribution margin
  • You've managed or overseen a bookkeeper and know how to keep someone accountable without micromanaging
  • You're comfortable in QuickBooks and know how to build reporting that non-finance people can actually use
  • You have experience with Australian tax and compliance obligations, BAS, Super, and similar
  • You have exposure to US business structures or a genuine willingness to get across them fast
  • You build processes from scratch without needing an existing infrastructure to work within

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • 30 days: You have a clear picture of the current financial state, you've identified the biggest gaps, and you've taken ownership of the bookkeeper relationship. Reports are starting to come out on a regular cadence.
  • 60 days: Cash flow forecasting is in place, key metrics are being tracked consistently, and the founders have a clear view of the numbers for the first time. QuickBooks is clean and up to date.
  • 90 days: The finance function runs smoothly with minimal founder involvement. Compliance is handled, reporting is reliable, and the business is structurally ready for whatever comes next, whether that's continued growth or a move to a US entity.
