Some roles are about building. Some are about fixing. This one is about leading - taking a high-performing DTC growth engine and making it operate at a level most brands only talk about.
If you've spent time inside a serious 8-figure DTC brand, you already know what this kind of role demands. You understand how creative, media, funnels, and retention connect. You've managed spend at scale, made calls under pressure, and built systems that actually hold. Now you want to bring that knowledge to a brand that will allow you the freedom to own the function & scale it with no bounds.
WHO THEY ARE
A founder-led DTC brand in the fragrance and personal care space, operating at seven-figure monthly revenue with paid social as its primary growth engine. They've scaled fast, but deliberately.
Growth here is profitable by design, not growth at any cost.
In just two months, they built a subscription business from the ground up to significant MRR. That kind of execution speed tells you something about how this team operates when they've locked onto an opportunity.
The culture is direct and ownership-driven. Strategy doesn't live in decks, but rather, it shows up in live ads, optimized funnels, and relentless testing cycles. The founders are still close to the work, and this hire reports directly to them. That means real influence, real visibility, and real accountability from day one.
They are:
-
Profitable by design: growth decisions are made with margin and sustainability in mind, not just top-line velocity.
-
Execution-obsessed: from insight to live ad, the team moves fast and iterates faster.
-
Accountable at every level: ownership sits with the people closest to the work and not in layers of management.
This is a fully remote, full-time role.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
This is not a supporting role. You'll own the entire growth function - creative, funnels, retention, and paid - with the autonomy to shape how it runs. For the right person, there's a direct path to CMO as the business scales toward nine figures. The founders aren't looking for someone to manage up to them. They're looking for someone to take this off their plate entirely and do it better.
-
Real ownership: lead the full growth function, including creative, content, and funnel teams, with meaningful say over how it's structured.
-
Path to CMO: a clearly defined progression into executive marketing leadership as the company scales.
-
Genuine autonomy: once ramped, you'll have the freedom to restructure teams and reallocate resources based on what the numbers tell you.
-
Flexibility that means something: fully remote, results-focused, and built around trust.
WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO
- Own and optimize the full marketing flywheel across Meta, Google, and YouTube, ensuring paid channels, offers, and post-click experience work as one cohesive system.
- Lead and align a team of creative strategists, video editors, and graphic designers around performance outcomes, not just output.
- Drive subscription growth and retention, using data to identify untapped opportunities and convert them into scalable offers.
- Oversee significant daily ad spend across paid channels, allocating resources with a sharp focus on profitability.
- Take hands-on ownership of offers, funnels, and landing pages, using Shopify, CheckoutChamp, and Funnelish to optimize conversion at every stage.
- Identify new winning products and offers that can become meaningful growth drivers for the business.
WHO YOU ARE
You've done this before; not a version of it, but this. You've led growth inside an 8-figure DTC brand, managed spend at scale, and built the systems that connect creative, media, funnels, and retention into something that compounds. You know subscription economics as well as you know acquisition. And when something isn't working, you don't wait to be told but jump in and fix it.
- You have direct experience leading growth at an 8-figure DTC brand, with full ownership across creative and post-click.
- You understand subscription-led businesses inside out. From LTV, retention, churn, and how to scale an offer that sticks.
- You're proficient with Shopify and subscription platforms; CheckoutChamp and Funnelish experience is a strong plus.
- You know how to connect creative, offers, funnels, and retention into one cohesive system — and you've done it at scale.
- You're strategic enough to set direction and hands-on enough to execute when it matters.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
-
30 days: you've immersed yourself in the business — products, funnels, paid structure, team, and reporting. You've built trust, identified the biggest bottlenecks, and know exactly where to focus first.
-
60 days: you're running the function. Processes are tighter, visibility into key metrics has improved, and you've begun driving meaningful improvements in offer performance, subscription growth, and retention.
-
90 days: you're fully embedded as the growth leader. The team is performing at a higher level, conversion and subscription metrics are moving in the right direction, and you've defined the roadmap for what comes next.
