This DTC skincare device brand is scaling toward $200M+ in revenue, and subscription has just become their top strategic priority. Right now, retention doesn't have a dedicated owner: it's handled part-time within the general marketing team, alongside an external agency.


They're hiring a Head of Retention to build the function from the ground up: owning subscription lifecycle strategy, directing the retention agency, and working directly with the Head of Growth to shape front-end offer architecture.

Founded in 2021, they've grown into one of the fastest-growing DTC skincare device brands in the world, making clinical-grade skincare accessible at home and building a 9-figure business doing it. With several new products in development and a clear path toward becoming a billion-dollar brand, they're scaling fast and hiring to match.


The team is 50+ people globally, lean and distributed. They move fast, iterate often, and hold the bar high. Initiative is rewarded, communication is candid, and the people who show up, do the foundational work, and bring genuine curiosity are the ones who grow the fastest here.


This is a fully remote, full-time role.

WHAT YOU’RE GETTING INTO

  • Own subscription lifecycle strategy end to end: onboarding, churn prevention, win-back
  • Build and iterate cancel-save flows and churn intervention sequences
  • Direct the retention agency on email and SMS strategy and execution
  • Drive the loyalty programme, from strategy through day-to-day execution
  • Monitor cohort health weekly, catching issues before they turn into churn
  • Partner with the Head of Growth on subscription offers, pricing, and bundles, including A/B testing
  • Own the retention reporting stack and present results weekly to the founders


WHO YOU ARE

  • You have 3+ years of experience in CRM, lifecycle, or retention at a subscription-first D2C brand
  • You're deeply hands-on in Klaviyo: flows, segmentation, deliverability, and reporting
  • You’re comfortable running Attentive or a similar SMS platform independently
  • You've improved subscription metrics before, whether that's uptake, LTV, AOV, or churn.
  • You've managed or directed an external agency and know how to get real output from one.
  • You're fluent in LTV, AOV, NCPA, and cohort analysis, and you turn that data into strategy, not just reports.


WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • 30 days: You're fully onboarded. You know the cohort data, the subscription platform, and the Klaviyo account inside out. You've mapped every existing flow and found the first quick wins.
  • 60 days: You're running point on the retention agency. Cancel-save flows are live and being tested. You've got a weekly reporting rhythm in place with the Head of Growth.
  • 90 days: Subscription uptake and LTV are trending up. You've launched at least one new lifecycle initiative from scratch. The retention roadmap is yours, and it's driving real revenue.
