Funnel Strategist

You'll be the first person at the company with the sole job of owning the advertorial funnel, developing the angles, building out variants, and closing the gap between what the ads promise and what the pages deliver.

WHO THEY ARE

A founder-led German DTC health and nutrition brand selling meal replacement shakes, collagen, protein supplements, and probiotics. They started as an online shop and grew into one of Germany's fastest-growing health brands, with products available through their own subscription-first webshop and in major German retail chains. The brand is profitable, growing fast, and built around a product people genuinely love.


This is a full-time, office-based role in Hamburg. Fluency in German is required.

WHAT YOU’RE GETTING INTO

This role is focused on owning the advertorial and landing page layer of the acquisition funnel, building out the volume of variants, and creating a structured approach to angle development and testing.

You will:

  • Own funnel strategy and optimization for cold traffic.
  • Map complete funnel journeys: ad → pre-sell → offer → checkout → post-purchase
  • Write clear funnel briefs and copy for designers and developers using AI assistance to move faster
  • Work closely with media buyers to align funnels with ad angles
  • Run structured A/B tests across funnel variants, building out a systematic approach where none currently exists
  • Use GA4, Klar, Microsoft Clarity, and Hotjar to identify drop-off points and surface the next highest-opportunity angle or page to build
  • Conduct keyword gap analysis to find untapped content angles and inform new funnel directions



WHO YOU ARE

  • You have 3+ years of hands-on experience in funnel strategy, direct response, or performance marketing, in DTC ecommerce or a performance-focused agency
  • You've built and optimized advertorial funnels yourself, including angle development, copy briefing, and conversion analysis
  • You understand cold traffic psychology and buyer awareness levels, not just in theory
  • You can translate ideas into clear funnel strategies and briefs for designers and developers
  • You have experience with Google and native advertising channels and can read performance data without needing it translated
  • You're fluent in German and comfortable producing and reviewing copy in it
  • You're comfortable using AI tools to accelerate content production
  • You can work with imperfect data and make pragmatic calls rather than waiting for conditions that will never be perfect

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience in supplements, health, or FMCG, and an understanding of how considered-purchase and subscription dynamics affect funnel behavior
  • Experience with native ad platforms like Taboola or Outbrain
  • Paid media management experience so you can read the ads side of the equation yourself
