We’re looking for a Direct Response Copywriter / Creative Strategist who knows how to pair deep customer insight with killer storytelling. Someone who thrives in speed, owns outcomes, and understands that great creative isn’t about awards but about performance.

In just 90 days, they’ve scaled to over $500k/month in revenue with one flagship product. Their growth has been powered by sharp storytelling, a lean and agile team, and a relentless focus on direct-response fundamentals.


They run lean, move fast, and prioritize execution over process. The creative team is small but highly driven, and now they’re doubling down on what’s working: great ads, tested fast, scaled smart.

WHAT YOU’RE GETTING INTO


This is not a sit-back-and-write role.


You’ll own the creative strategy pipeline, from researching insights and scripting new ad concepts to building briefs and working with editors to bring ideas to life. You’ll also analyze performance data to iterate fast and increase win rates.


You’ll be responsible for:


  • Researching customer insights and creative angles across platforms like Reddit, Amazon, TikTok, and Meta
  • Developing performance-driven ad concepts and scripts that align with brand strategy
  • Writing briefs for video editors and providing feedback to refine and improve outputs
  • Tracking performance to identify what’s working and scale it
  • Sourcing and briefing UGC creators to consistently produce fresh content
  • Collaborating with the founder to align on creative priorities and testing roadmap


WHO YOU ARE


  • 3+ years of experience in creative strategy or direct-response copywriting, ideally in a DTC or eCommerce environment
  • Proven ability to concept, script, and iterate high-performing ads across Meta, TikTok, or YouTube
  • Strong grasp of customer psychology, hooks, and conversion-first creative frameworks
  • Confident briefing and collaborating with video editors and UGC creators to bring ideas to life
  • Comfortable using performance data to refine messaging and scale what works
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and thrive in fast-moving, lean teams with minimal oversight


WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE


30 Days: You’ve developed a strong understanding of the brand, audience, and current creative direction. You’re contributing ideas regularly and taking ownership of concept development and creative briefs.

60 Days: You’re producing high-performing creative that’s driving real results. You’ve built a solid workflow with editors and creators, and are actively iterating based on performance insights.

90 Days: You’ve established a smooth, scalable creative process. Your work is consistently driving growth, and you’re playing a key role in shaping how the brand shows up across paid channels.
